Then again, we don't know if a standalone will come with that either. Then again, you can get the Legacy Edition of Infinite Warfare (which comes with the remaster) for around $50 these days-though it doesn't come with the DLC.
#COD 4 REMASTERED PS4 FULL#
We've seen re-releases of Skyrim and GTA V go for full retail at $60 a pop. Is $40 fair? That's such a difficult question to answer.

(By "Definitive" I meant that the standalone would come with all the DLC included rather than sold separately, which would make the difference in cost just $5 since the DLC cost $15.) Even whether or not it happens at all will be contentious. Actually, no matter what Activision does at this point it might make people upset, whether the stand-alone is cheaper, the same price or more expensive. That would still be a reasonable price for a full remaster of a modern shooter classic, though it would likely upset gamers. I wrote about this before, noting how at this point in the controversial remaster's life, Activision is going to anger gamers no matter what they do:Īctivision could easily price a "Definitive" stand-alone at $40, making the bundled Infinite Warfare deal the cheaper option. If they did, customers who bought the bundle would feel ripped off.
#COD 4 REMASTERED PS4 FOR FREE#
You could get the remaster for $20 on top of the $60 Infinite Warfare, or for free (basically) if you bought the $100 Collector's Edition which came with both the remaster and the season pass (which costs $50 if you buy it separately.) But bundled prices are always cheaper, and there was no way Activision would release a $20 standalone. That sticker price is sure to upset gamers, but it's no surprise.
